A41BTT chart

This is what a money market ETF looks like: an almost straight, steadily rising line. The chart shows the euro price on Xetra (ticker EDEG). In pounds (CSGB), the line also moves with the EUR/GBP exchange rate.

Why does the price rise so steadily? #

A41BTT doesn’t pay anything out; instead, it reinvests the daily interest. So every day brings a small gain – a little steeper or flatter depending on the level of €STR.

And the little spikes? #

The quoted exchange prices fluctuate very slightly around the fund’s actual value, for example due to the spread or individual trades. They play no role in long-term performance.
